The Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japão (GBCJ) was founded in Tokyo, Japan by Caçapa and Cafuné in 2004. The group is a branch of Grupo Bantus Capoeira supervised by Mestre Pintor in Brazil. It is a well know and well respected capoeira group within the Japanese and international capoeira community. The main goal of GBCJ is to promote the art of capoeira in Japan, we also hope to promote international friendship and understanding, healthy living, and social and environmental conciseness.
